WATCH DAYBREAKUSA!
DaybreakUSA is a fast paced morning news magazine, hosted by Scott West, a veteran of 31 years in the broadcast industry. Scott got his start in the nations #1 radio market, New York, working for two legendary stations, WWRL and WRVR. He moved to North Texas, where he has been heard on K-104, KVIL, KLIF, V-100, and KRNB. Scott became a nationally know talent while with K-104, as he also hosted a syndicated music television show called "The Beam". It was produced by K-104's program director, Michael Spears. He would later become Sports Director for one of Dallas/Fort Worth's benchmark stations, KVIL. And when they became the flagship station for the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network, Scott was heard on 109 affiliates across the country as host of the networks pre-game, halftime, and post-game coverage. He followed his five years at KVIL, with three years at KLIF, where he anchored the stations Dallas Mavericks Radio Network's pre, halftime, and post game broadcast. ABC Radio Networks, now know as Citadel Broadcasting, became his next stop. Scott spent seven years hosting syndicated music programs on three different formats, while also serving as creative director for each of the formats as well as the Urban Advantage Network, a division of ABC's marketing department. His association with DaybreakUSA actually began while with ABC, as he was often tapped to fill-in for the shows co-hosts, beginning in 1998. It was summer, 2005, when Scott became a permanent member of the DaybreakUSA family, and in 2007, he took over the lead hosting duties. Now, along with Technical Director and Co-host Bobby Collins, and Executive Producer Christy Cahela, DaybreakUSA continues to be 'appointment morning radio'!
